This trail ride in Provence offers exceptional diversity!
A magnificent journey on horseback from the Provence of Giono to that of Daudet, from the Luberon to the Camargue via the Alpilles.
We will travel from village to village until we reach the sea.
From limestone hills to marshes, among horses, bulls and flamingos.

Itinerary
Riders are welcomed between 4pm and 7pm with a welcome drink. Introduction to the other participants and the week’s programme, followed by dinner at the table d’hôte. Overnight stay in guest rooms.
We ride down the southern flank of the Luberon, with its pine forests and cliff-lined landscapes, to the Durance river, which we cross before enjoying a pleasant picnic by the riverbank. After our break, we spend the afternoon trail riding along the canal that irrigates the valley’s many crops, before returning to the park where our horses will stay for the night. Riders are transferred by minibus to guest houses in Lauris.

Horses
Our Barb and Spanish crossbreeds are particularly well suited, well-balanced and willing. They live in a herd all year round. They are only used for trail riding, ensuring maximum relaxation in complete safety.

Trail riding saddles.
Recommended riding experience
You must be comfortable riding at all gaits outdoors and have some trail riding experience. You will also be asked to help take care of your horse, including grooming, saddling, and unsaddling.
Riders must not weigh more than 90kg.
Children accompanied by an adult are accepted from the age of 12 if they have the required riding ability.
Supervision
Our qualified guides and leaders provide safe supervision in a relaxed atmosphere. They speak French and English and, as far as possible, take a non-instructive approach.
Support vehicle
A support vehicle transports luggage from one accommodation to another.
Accommodation
In guesthouses and simple hotels (equivalent to 2* or 2 épis standard français). All nights in shared rooms for 2 to 3 people (triple rooms may be 1 double bed + 1 single bed on some nights) or in single rooms at an additional cost. Most rooms have private bathrooms: 1 night may not have enough rooms with private bathrooms.
We guarantee double rooms for couples. Single rooms are compulsory for anyone traveling alone and must be paid for on site. If you agree to share your room and we find someone to do so, no additional fee will be payable on site.
Meals
The catering team joins us at lunchtime to prepare a hearty buffet. A pastis or a glass of local wine (to be enjoyed in moderation!), grilled meats by the river, a refreshing salad, and a nap before setting off again: so many pleasures and moments of conviviality to share.
Dinner is served at the evening stop and is an opportunity to sample home-style Provençal cuisine.

– Lightweight rain gear that can be worn over a T-shirt or fleece depending on the temperature (such as a rain jacket or waterproof poncho)

– Boots or walking shoes + mini-chaps (high boots are not recommended)
– Warm, waterproof and windproof jacket or parka
– Helmet (available for loan on site, but we recommend that you bring your own)
