Discover Ride in France: France is our country, horses are our passion!
Rando Cheval is the result of a passion shared by Sabine and Thomas Grataloup for travel and horses, which led them to embark on this adventure in 1998.
They have opened up rides that have now become flagship destinations for Rando Cheval: Kyrgyzstan, where Sabine was the first to visit in May 2001 with a TV crew, as well as Patagonia, the Andes, Iceland, Jordan, Morocco, Senegal, the Canadian Rockies, Brazil, Mexico, Costa Rica, South Africa, Botswana, Rajasthan, Mongolia, a remote region of Tibet opened in 2025 … and in France of course!
A lover of wild Africa, Sabine has focused on developping horseback safaris in particular, which she regularly visits. She has tried almost all of them.
She also created Rando Cheval Mongolia, which organises our rides directly in Mongolia.
Sabine and Thomas are probably the most experienced horseback travel specialists in France, if not the world.
This expertise has been recognised on several occasions:
- we received the ‘Challenge du Nouvel Entrepreneur du Tourisme’ (New Tourism Entrepreneur Challenge) award. This award is very important to us because it is presented by the APST, the organisation that provides financial guarantees to travel agencies in France. It is therefore a recognition of both the originality and the professionalism of our organisation.
- Our commitment to Mongolia has been rewarded with the Horse Riding Tourism Trophy at the Paris Horse Show.
- Sabine has also been a member of the Federal Committee of the French Equestrian Federation for two terms. We welcomed this election as recognition of our efforts and Randocheval’s success in promoting horse riding holidays in France.
